I am inspired; my cousin Ginny is a world class traveler. She is a busy mom, wife, worker, church member, community member... she has her hands is so many pots, and has traveled extensively. Her latest blog has photos of where she has been and where she wants to go. I love to travel, and explore this world, although rather tamely, passively a spectator, watching the world and other lives go by me. I would often look at places or people and wonder what it is like to live their lives. Not that I want to escape mine although sometimes that feels tempting, but just to see what other people get to see, do and experience.
There is so much to see and do and I don't want to miss a thing. There is so much variety of landscapes and beauty. I have learned to see it in places that don't seem to fit my mold of beauty. I used to live in the state of Washington, with oceans, majestic mountains, greens of every shade possible. I know live in the dessert, mostly flat, some dirt hills, but tans, browns all around. It has taken me years to appreciate the colors that interrupt the brown, to see the dessert flowers, cacti, the amazing sky with copper gold sunsets, blue with fluffy puffy clouds. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
